NSPCC PANTS - Assembly
Dear Parent/Carer,
In today’s assemblies, the children have been reminded about the NSPCC’s Underwear Rule. This is also taught through our PSHE curriculum, and aims to teach the children important safety skills without giving explicit information or telling scary stories. The NSPCC’s Underwear Rule uses the ‘PANTS’ acrostic, which is like a green cross code for staying safe from sexual abuse.
PANTS stands for:
- Privates are private
- Always remember your body belongs to you
- No means no
- Talk about secrets that upset you
- Speak up, someone can help
The poster gives the age-appropriate information that has been shared with the children.
