Lead play and help children at lunchtime: MDSA
Southover CE Primary School is a happy, vibrant school in the heart of Lewes. We are proud of our lovely children, dedicated staff and inclusive ethos.
We have a vacancy for a Midday Meals Supervisor Assistant (MDSA) to join our supportive team. The successful applicant will work in the dining hall on the playground/field. The post is for 1.5 hours a day, 4 lunchtimes a week.
The successful applicant will have experience working with children and the commitment and enthusiasm to support the children with their lunch and play. You will be able to work as part of a team and work autonomously when required. The role involves working with children with differing needs, including special educational needs and disabilities.
Southover can offer a friendly and supportive team and bespoke CPD.
The role is a fixed-term position until 22nd July 2026 and is 6 hours a week, (Tuesday to Friday 12:00 – 13.30), term time only. This role is paid on point 7 of the Single Status Pay Scale. We are looking for this position to start as soon as possible when all safeguarding and employment checks are completed. All staff will be expected to have an Enhanced DBS check.
