Fundraising at Southover
Embracing the community spirit of the school we engage with charities throughtout the year.
In celebration of Pudsey’s 40th birthday, Pudsey Bear came to visit Southover just before Children in Need. He popped into the office and playground, met children and staff and then surprised the youngest children with a gift of Pudsey ears. What a delight! We then raised £300 for Children in Need – thank you.

We also sold poppies and other British Legion resources to support the Poppy Appeal. Children from Y6 went around classes taking donations and giving out the resources. This amounted to a fantastic £296!

During our Christmas activities, the children were invited to wear a Christmas jumper whilst enjoying Christmas dinner on the 17th December. They raised £180 for St Peter and St James Hospice. This is a great cause and one close to our school’s heart as it has been amazing in caring for some members of the school community in their times of need. Mrs Cane is delivering our donation below.

The Year 5/6 children held Christmas Carols in Trinity Church Southover this year to raise money for Shelter charity. Mr Fadden delivered a donation of £220 on Southover's behalf.
